General Information

Newport Montessori School in Newport, NH is in session for Elementary students Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m.  NMS is in session for Kindergarten and Pre Kindergarten students from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

Students who are enrolled in Elementary (grades 1-8) attend Monday through Friday for the full day; Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. one Friday each month.  Students five years old (in their Kindergarten year) are enrolled Monday through Thursday for the full day and for Friday morning only.  Parents of three year olds (occasionally, nearly three) and four year olds may choose either the morning program option or (with the concurrence of the teachers) the full day option for their students.

The Newport Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school.  The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions, and financial assistance programs, or any other school-administered program.

Applicants are required to:

1. Attend a school tour either by attending an Open House on April 9, 2011 or on an individual basis arranged with the Head of School, Christy Whipple.

2. Submit the pre-registration form along with the $30 non-refundable fee.  This can be mailed to the school:  PO Box 634/Newport, NH 03773, or brought along on your school tour. 

You will be notified of the admission decision by letter.  If the decision is to offer admission, an admissions packet, including a tuition contract, will be included with the acceptance letter.  Parents/guardians will have ten (10) days from the date the contract was written to respond. Tuition deposit is due with the enrollment contract.
